Our client Grj Agriculture and Livestock is looking for a Accountant - Agriculture Export Operations in Karachi

The successful applicant will have 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the export or agriculture sector, and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. The position demands excellent organizational and analytical skills, the ability to handle accounts payable and receivable efficiently, and strong independent work ethic to meet deadlines. This role does not include managing a team but involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate record-keeping and smooth financial operations related to agriculture exports. Attention to detail, adherence to tax compliance, and sound bookkeeping practices are essential to effectively support Grj Agriculture and Livestock's finance functions.

Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities
• Maintain daily accounting records, cash book, and bank reconciliations.
• Record and monitor cash flows related to agricultural operations and export activities.
• Manage inventory records of Rhodes grass, bale stock, and warehouse movements.
• Prepare sales, purchase, payment, and receipt vouchers.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Process export-related invoices, packing lists, and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with the operations team regarding container dispatches and export shipments.
• Maintain records of export expenses, freight, transportation, and logistics costs.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, profit & loss statements, and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and maintain proper filing of financial documents.
• Coordinate with banks regarding export proceeds, Letters of Credit (LCs), and remittances.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, B.Com, or an equivalent qualification.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; experience in the agriculture or export industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and inventory management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
