Our client Clearoute is looking for a Accountant / Bookkeeper with QuickBooks Expertise in Islamabad
Clearoute is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper with at least three years of experience to join our finance team. This role requires hands-on expertise with QuickBooks Online and a strong command of Microsoft Excel to manage various accounting tasks accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP or IFRS standards. The candidate should be independent, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of their Responsibilities
while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
This position involves handling month-end closing activities, adjusting journal entries, and preparing financial statements and reports. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, possess a curious mindset, and a willingness to learn and enhance accounting processes. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are important for managing day-to-day accounting challenges effectively. Preference is given to candidates based in Islamabad. This role does not involve team management but requires a reliable and accountable professional committed to financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
Perform bookkeeping duties including maintaining accurate accounts payable and receivable records.
Conduct timely bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between financial statements and bank records.
Manage the general ledger by recording and reviewing accounting transactions to ensure accurate financial data.
Prepare and analyze financial reports compliant with GAAP or IFRS standards.
Execute month-end close procedures, including adjusting journal entries and account reconciliations.
Utilize QuickBooks Online and other accounting software to track financial transactions and generate reporting.
Develop and maintain detailed accounting spreadsheets and financial documents using Microsoft Excel.
Monitor and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve day-to-day accounting issues promptly.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and ensure cohesive accounting practices.
Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and uphold company policies regarding data integrity.
Stay current with accounting standards and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Handle assigned accounting tasks independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating a strong sense of ownership.
Communicate effectively with management regarding financial status, reports, and any issues or concerns.
