Windowinnovations is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant with a solid foundation in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce and brings a minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with computerized accounting systems are essential to manage and maintain accurate financial records. This position demands knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the ability to oversee month-end and year-end close processes effectively. Experience in manufacturing or trading companies is preferred, enhancing the ability to handle industry-specific financial transactions.

The Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, maintaining accounts payable and receivable, and preparing precise account reconciliations. Strong analytical skills support the examination of financial data, while excellent organizational abilities enable timely and accurate completion of financial processes. Although this role does not involve managing a team, the individual must communicate clearly and collaborate across departments when necessary. Reliability, honesty, and a keen attention to detail are vital attributes that contribute to the success of the accounting function within Windowinnovations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting.
• Prepare and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Perform account reconciliations on a regular basis to detect and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, adhering to company policies and accounting standards.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial activities and reporting.
• Generate financial reports and statements for internal review, management, and external audits as needed.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and accounting software to analyze data, prepare schedules, and automate tasks where possible.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data and insights.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve queries.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems within the company.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information at all times.
• Adapt to changes in accounting regulations and best practices to keep the company compliant.
