Our client NVT is looking for a Accountant - US Tax & Financial Reporting Specialist in Lahore

Join NVT as an Accountant where you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records to support the company's financial health and compliance. You will be responsible for handling various accounting functions including financial reporting, tax compliance, account reconciliation, and maintaining the general ledger. This role requires a strong understanding of US tax filing, experience with QuickBooks Online and ERP accounting software, and the ability to work efficiently within set deadlines. You will be expected to collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information. This position requires working a 2 PM to 10 PM shift and reliable daily transportation to the Phase 8, DHA location.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience in US tax filing, solid Excel skills, and possess a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance. Familiarity with ACCA or CA Inter qualifications is considered a plus. Excellent communication skills in English are required to effectively communicate financial information. Although this role does not involve managing a team, you will work independently to handle your Responsibilities

and meet company accounting standards and deadlines. The position demands punctuality, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing financial processes. Immediate joiners who can start within the week are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries and account reconciliations to ensure integrity of financial data.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Manage accounts payable processes by verifying, coding, and processing invoices in a timely manner.
• Ensure tax compliance by preparing and filing US tax returns accurately and on schedule, following the latest tax laws and requirements.
• Utilize QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) and ERP accounting software effectively for bookkeeping and financial data management.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information and support audits or financial reviews.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial records and sensitive information.
• Use Microsoft Excel skills to analyze data, prepare financial reports, and develop spreadsheets for financial tracking and forecasting.
• Adhere to company policies, deadlines, and ethical accounting practices in all financial activities.
• Adapt to working the 2 PM to 10 PM shift and manage daily transportation arrangements as required by the company location.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, US tax regulations, and relevant software tools to enhance job performance.
• Support the accounting department by performing other financial tasks as delegated by management.
