- Maintain the books of account and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
- Prepare monthly payments, including vouchers for all bank payments, receipts, and maintenance of supporting documentation.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements and reconcile all ledger balances.
- Prepare periodic management accounts, including the Statement of Financial Position, Income and Expenditure Statement, and budget variance reports.
- Prepare reimbursements notes to member banks and maintain related records.
- Maintain accounting records for investments, including treasury bills, term deposits, and other financial instruments, together with the related income.
- Ensure compliance with applicable income tax and sales tax withholding requirements and assist in the preparation of statutory filings.
- Maintain fixed asset records, schedules of advances, accruals, prepayments, and other supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities by providing the required information and supporting documents.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, cash flow forecasts, and other financial reports required by the Executive Committee and management.
- Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
