KH Group is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager Operations - Livestock to oversee and optimize the daily operations of its livestock management activities. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree or diploma in Animal Sciences, Livestock Management, Veterinary Sciences, Agriculture, or a related field and possesses up to 1 year of experience in livestock farming, feedlot management, or cattle fattening operations. This role requires overseeing a team of 10 individuals, coordinating animal care, maintaining health standards, and ensuring efficient operational performance on the farm.
As an Assistant Manager, you are responsible for managing the entire livestock lifecyclefrom the acquisition of healthy animals through to their fattening, health monitoring, and preparation for sale. You supervise feeding operations, maintain housing and welfare standards, coordinate veterinary care, and analyze animal performance to maximize productivity and profitability. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, manage inventory, and oversee farm staff while fostering a safe and humane working environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the selection and purchase of healthy animals from livestock markets by evaluating breed, age, weight, health, and market value.
- Coordinate the transportation of purchased animals to the feedlot safely and efficiently.
- Supervise daily feeding operations aligned with approved nutrition plans to optimize feed utilization and animal weight gain.
- Monitor feed consumption to ensure adequate availability of feed and clean water at all times.
- Maintain proper housing conditions, farm cleanliness, and high standards of animal welfare to promote health and wellbeing.
- Oversee animal health by daily monitoring for signs of illness, injury, or abnormal behavior and coordinating vaccinations, deworming, and veterinary treatments.
- Implement quarantine protocols for newly purchased or sick animals to prevent disease spread within the herd.
- Keep detailed records on initial weight, periodic weight checks, feed intake, treatments, mortality, and final sale weight, ensuring accurate production data.
- Analyze animal performance data and recommend improvements to feeding and management to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Prepare animals for sale following the fattening cycle, including coordinating transportation to livestock markets and supporting buyer negotiations.
- Maintain precise records of livestock purchases, feed inventory, medicines, equipment, sales, revenues, and profitability to support financial management and reporting.
- Track key performance indicators such as production costs, feed conversion ratios, animal mortality, and overall feedlot performance for continuous improvement.
- Prepare periodic operational and performance reports for management review and strategic planning.
- Supervise a team of 10 livestock attendants, feeders, and support staff by allocating daily tasks, monitoring performance, and providing necessary training.
- Ensure strict adherence to farm policies, safety procedures, and animal welfare standards to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
- Train staff on proper livestock handling, feeding practices, and workplace safety to improve team efficiency and animal care quality.
