Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager (J+) – Regulatory Reporting to manage and administer a Regulatory Reporting, MI Reporting, and Analytical platform for a leading banking client. In this role, you will bring deep expertise in finance, regulatory reporting, and data modeling to maintain and enhance the client's regulatory reporting platform, management reporting, and customer profitability reporting. You will also support data engineering and performance tuning of existing processes, working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams to deliver reliable, high-performing reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer the Finance Regulatory and Reporting Analytical platform, ensuring its reliability, performance, and alignment with business needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex data models with multiple subject areas to support advanced analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Engage with business users to gather requirements, document functional and technical specifications, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Manage all stages of the software development lifecycle, from planning and development to testing, deployment, and post-production support, adhering to enterprise-level change management processes.
  • Facilitate and manage SIT and UAT phases to ensure smooth project implementation and delivery.
  • Provide robust post-production support, addressing issues promptly and implementing performance optimizations to ensure system stability.
  • Explore and implement opportunities to leverage cloud services and drive cloud migration initiatives where beneficial.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for solution architecture, technical designs, and project details; provide training and knowledge sharing to system users and team members.
  • Lead projects independently, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and country finance stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Regulatory Reporting, with a deep understanding of finance and banking.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and T-SQL, including experience with performance tuning of functions and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Informatica Power Center 10.x or SSIS.
  • Advanced-level expertise in Power BI is an advantage.
  • Understanding of cloud services and experience with cloud migration is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of the Hadoop data platform and data engineering tools is an added advantage.
  • Experience with data modeling and tools such as ERWIN or equivalent for handling complex data models.
  • Experience engaging with business users for requirement gathering and documentation.
  • Clear understanding of SIT/UAT processes and their importance in project success.
  • Knowledge of finance and regulatory reporting processes is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage the complete lifecycle of software development, including experience in large enterprises with stringent management processes.
  • Capability to independently lead projects and deliver high-quality results.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong banking knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, security, and compliance, with the ability to understand complex application and hardware architecture flows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work as an independent contributor while driving teamwork across functional areas.
