JOB TITLE

Associate Finance | Head Office | Lahore, Pakistan

Role Purpose

The Associate – Finance is responsible for executing financial postings and supporting end-to-end tax operations, including tax planning, compliance, and strategy execution. The role also involves contributing to transfer pricing activities, ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws and policies, and supporting the development and implementation of tax procedures and controls to optimize tax efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Develop and implement tax optimization strategies to maximize tax efficiency while ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct tax due diligence and support the structuring of transactions related to new business ventures, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Manage tax audits, notices, and tax-related matters while proactively identifying and mitigating tax risks across business operations.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile tax reports and financial data, ensuring accurate tracking of income, assets, liabilities, and tax obligations.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns with relevant authorities, including FBR, PRA, SRB, and withholding tax submissions.
• Perform tax reconciliations, maintain supporting documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Process vendor and contractor payments in accordance with agreed terms, including advance payments, deductions, withholding taxes, and applicable penalties.
• Maintain sales ledgers, verify revenue reports, and reconcile collections with bank statements to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders on tax-related matters and provide ongoing support to the Head of Tax in managing day-to-day taxation activities.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 3+ years of experience in taxation, compliance, or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
