Associate UX Designer

Responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end UX work: research, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI
• Assist with user interviews, surveys, and usability tests; help synthesize findings into personas, journey maps, and actionable insights
• Design and iterate on flows in Figma, incorporating feedback from design critiques
• Use AI tools (e.g., Figma AI, ChatGPT/Claude, Midjourney or similar) to accelerate ideation, generate variations, and speed up early-stage exploration — while personally reviewing, curating, and refining every output before it goes further
• Write clear microcopy (buttons, errors, empty states, onboarding) as part of the design, not an afterthought
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and senior designers; present and explain your design rationale in critiques
• Maintain and contribute to the design system/component library
• Stay current on UX trends, AI-native interaction patterns and tools

Skills and Experience:

Core UX Skills

• 2–4 years of experience in UX/UI design (internships, bootcamp/academic portfolio projects work count)
Strong portfolio showing your design process — not just polished final screens, but how you got there (research insight decision
• iteration)
• Working knowledge of the UX toolkit: user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing
• Proficiency in Figma (required); familiarity with Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar is a plus
• Understanding of responsive/mobile-first design
• Solid visual design fundamentals — typography, layout, color, hierarchy

AI Fluency (what we mean by this)

• Comfortable using generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Figma AI, Midjourney, or similar) as part of a daily workflow — for ideation, content drafts, research synthesis, or generating design variations
• Able to write clear, contextual prompts and iterate on AI outputs rather than accepting first drafts
• Judgment to evaluate AI-generated design or copy suggestions — knowing what to keep, what to fix, and what to discard, and being able to explain the decisions.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication — able to explain design decisions to both designers and non-designers
• Curiosity and empathy for users; comfortable asking “why” and validating assumptions with data or research
• Adaptable and coachable; open to feedback and fast iteration

Experience & Qualifications

• 2 – 4 Years of experience
• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA
