Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to design and architect enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data modernization, cloud migration, data lakes, data warehousing, analytics, and governance, with the ability to lead large-scale data transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cloud-native data architectures on Azure.
• Architect end-to-end data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB.
• Lead data modernization, migration, and analytics transformation programs.
• Design batch and real-time data ingestion, ETL/ELT, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Establish data governance, security, metadata management, and compliance frameworks.
• Enable advanced analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and GenAI use cases.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct architecture reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Cloud Data Platforms.
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Event Hub, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
• Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Real-Time Data Processing, and CDC architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and Microsoft Purview.
• Experience building analytics solutions using Power BI.

Good to Have

• Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Scala, and Tableau experience.
• Knowledge of Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, GenAI, and AI/ML solutions.
• Multi-cloud exposure (AWS/GCP).

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
• TOGAF Certification (Preferred)
