The Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, Government of Pakistan, under Uraan Pakistan, invites applications from qualified and accomplished Pakistani nationals for the prestigious position of Chairman and Dean, Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore.

The role requires a visionary leader with a strong academic, clinical, and administrative background, capable of providing dynamic leadership and ensuring excellence in postgraduate medical education, research, and healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall academic, administrative, and strategic leadership to the Institute
• Ensure high standards of postgraduate medical education, research, and clinical services
• Lead policy formulation, institutional planning, and implementation of reforms
• Promote academic excellence, innovation, and ethical medical practices
• Manage faculty, administrative staff, and institutional resources effectively
• Represent the Institute at national and international forums
• Strengthen collaboration with government bodies, universities, and healthcare institutions
  
  

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent qualification
• Higher postgraduate qualification, such as:
• PhD (in case of Basic Sciences), or
• FCPS / MRCP / FRCS / MD / MS / American Board, or equivalent recognized qualification
• Proven track record of integrity and successful management
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to build and lead high-performing teams
• Strong communication, decision-making, and strategic planning skills
