Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor chiller systems, ensuring they function within specified parameters for optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems and associated HVAC equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on chillers and auxiliary equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of components like pressure gauges and temperature sensors.
- Read and interpret engineering schematics and DDC control system interfaces to understand system design and diagnose operational problems.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and protocols during operation, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure a secure work environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all operational activities, maintenance performed, and parts used, ensuring comprehensive documentation for future reference.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to address any operational challenges and contribute to overall facility management goals.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in chiller operation and maintenance.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Certification as an HVAC Technician.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining various types of refrigeration systems.
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting complex equipment and performing effective preventive maintenance.
- Strong understanding of reading engineering schematics and working with DDC controls.
- A solid grasp of safety procedures relevant to HVAC operations.
