About the Opportunity
Hiregummy is hiring on behalf of one of its clients for an experienced Civil Designer to join a growing engineering team. This is a remote opportunity offering flexibility while working on subdivision and civil infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality civil design documentation and collaborate with engineers, consultants, and local authorities to support project approvals and successful project delivery.
About the Role
As a Civil Designer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed civil designs for subdivision and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. You'll work closely with the engineering team while coordinating with councils, utility providers, and government authorities to ensure designs meet Australian standards and project requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical design work, can manage projects independently, and is confident working in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed civil designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Design subdivision layouts, earthworks, roads, drainage, sewer, and water infrastructure
- Produce drawings and documentation for approvals and construction
- Coordinate with councils, utility providers, consultants, and other project stakeholders
- Respond to authority comments and assist in obtaining project approvals
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian engineering and local authority standards
- Maintain accurate project documentation and deliver work within agreed timelines
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in Australian civil design projects (Western Australia experience is highly regarded)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience in subdivision, drainage, road, sewer, and water infrastructure design
- Understanding of Australian civil design standards and approval processes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience with subdivision projects in Western Australia
- Familiarity with planning and approval processes
- Experience preparing engineering or design reports
- Relevant Engineering or Civil Drafting qualification
