CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION

Unilever outsources part of the manufacturing operations to 3PM/Collaborative Manufacturing (CM) partners for competitive advantage. This role requires a procurement professional passionate to learn and take up new challenges in a dynamic environment; manage Raw Material & Pack Material & Conversion Cost; shape, support and implement the CM strategy; deliver competitive and differentiating value chain solutions; together with stakeholders & partners, covering all aspects including cost competitiveness, innovation, quality and service and sustainability - in sync with Personal Care, Beauty & Wellbeing direction & strategy.

What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be

  • Align procurement lighthouse strategy with business priorities for CM PC & BW PTAB
  • Drive and deliver the cost savings program for CM PC & BW PTAB
  • Ensure the accurate and on-time reporting of savings
  • Lead cross functional project teams for the delivery of competitive buying agenda
  • Identify new savings projects together with business partners and ensure timely introduction, including program synergies (ideation / benchmarking) across Bus
  • Lead Strategic projects with PC Proc lead.
  • Be the face of procurement for senior stakeholders
  • Be the focal point of contact to deliver Lighthouse strategy in BU
  • Working closely with the Global Procurement teams to support the business with accurate price forecasting, which includes market conditions, price trends and future market trends to enable proper budgeting and price forecasting
  • Completing commercial deals with suppliers for PC & BW Collaborative manufacturing.
  • Generating and conducting the savings and inflation mitigation agenda for the suppliers under the responsibility; achieving cost reduction on the portfolio
  • Forecasting and validating the material cost budget by working closely to finance contacts
  • Searching for alternative suppliers and on-boarding new suppliers
  • Generating and conducting localization agenda
  • Tracking the feedstock market and key macroeconomics and taking necessary actions accordingly
  • Preparing and presenting presentations to key stakeholders at mid-high level
  • Lead negotiations and operational agendas with CM; be the relationship lead for PC & BW supply partners.
  • Support and ensure new product launch/re-launch projects ensuring CM meets all criteria/projects deadlines.
  • Supplier selection for innovation projects, providing inputs to teams being involved in innovations
  • Ensure capacity sufficiency and capability building at vendors per Business needs.
  • Ensuring the supply network to maintain production and quality continuity
  • Provides support to CM production, QA department in identifying and resolving issues. Ensure compliance to Unilever policies on intellectual property ownership and confidentiality.
  • Monitor and track ongoing supplier performance data and KPIs.

What You Need To Succeed

Experiences & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain
  • Experience in Project Management of which at least 1 year of experience in FMCG
  • University/Bachelor’s degree
  • Basic understanding of Finance and the P&L
  • Excellent command of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI

  • Strong ability in managing multiple stakeholders, projects, and deadlines
  • Strong communications skills, with the ability to virtually engage with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to identify opportunities and passion to deliver impactful results
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Fluent communication and verbal/writing skills in English
  • Able to work in fast paced environment and manage timelines
  • Digital knowledge of tools like Power-BI, CoPilot etc.
  • Excellent Excel / PowerPoint Skills
  • Negotiation skills and comprehensive understanding of procurement principles, procedures, processes and value chains.
