We are seeking a dynamic, commercially driven, and mission-oriented individual to lead the growth and transformation of a modern women's reproductive health clinic network in Pakistan. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing a niche in women's healthcare by building a financially sustainable, client-centred, and high-quality healthcare service platform.
This role requires an exceptional business leader who can combine strong commercial instincts with a deep commitment to clinical excellence. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in improving the performance of service-based businesses, driving profitability, optimizing operations, and creating scalable growth models.
The Commercial Lead will work closely with clinical leadership, operational teams, and senior management to ensure the clinics deliver high-quality client experiences while achieving sustainable financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Business Growth
• Develop and execute the commercial strategy to position the clinic network as a leading provider of modern women's reproductive healthcare services in Karachi in Phase 1 (with possible expansion to other cities in Phase 2).
• Identify market opportunities, client segments, and growth channels to expand reach and build a strong brand proposition.
• Develop sustainable revenue models that yield profitability while maintaining accessibility and clinical integrity.
• Build partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including corporates, insurers, community organizations, and healthcare networks.

Business Transformation & Profitability
• Take ownership of overall commercial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, cost optimization, and financial sustainability.
• Lead the turnaround of underperforming clinic units by identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing improvement plans, including relocation as necessary.
• Develop strategies to increase client volumes, enhance service offerings, and optimize pricing models.
• Drive a culture of accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement across the clinic network.

Operational Excellence
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to improve client journeys, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• Establish performance dashboards and KPIs to monitor business health.
• Implement service diversification strategies to increase client footfall and attract new client segments.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, technology adoption, and service innovation.

Financial Management
• Own and monitor clinic-level financial performance, including revenue, cost management, P&L accountability, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
• Translate financial data into actionable business decisions.
• Work closely with finance teams to develop accurate reporting, budgets, and growth projections.

Team Leadership & Capability Building
• Build, motivate, and lead high-performing commercial and operational teams.
• Create a performance-driven culture focused on ownership, collaboration, and excellence.
• Mentor team members and develop future leaders within the organization.

Market Understanding & Customer Focus
• Demonstrate strong understanding of the Pakistani healthcare landscape, particularly women's health needs, client health-seeking behavior, and market dynamics.
• Use market insights to design services and commercial strategies that address unmet needs.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to target client segments with tailored content that maximizes return on marketing spend.
• Develop a strong understanding of client expectations and ensure the organization delivers an exceptional client experience.

Candidate Profile

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Commerce, Economics, or a related field is required.
• A Master's degree (MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification) is strongly preferred, particularly with a specialization in Healthcare Management, Marketing, Strategy, or General Management.
• Additional certifications or coursework in healthcare administration, public health, or hospital management will be considered an advantage.

Essential Experience & Skills
• Proven experience leading commercial growth, business transformation, or operational improvement within a service-based organization.
• Strong track record of turning around low-performing business units into efficient, profitable operations.
• Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, profitability, and business performance.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to balance commercial objectives with quality, customer experience, and service excellence.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Background
• Experience within healthcare, hospitals, clinics, diagnostics, wellness, or other patient-facing service industries is highly desirable.
• Exposure to women's health, reproductive healthcare, fertility, or related healthcare services is preferred but not essential.

Leadership Competencies
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Entrepreneurial mindset — ability to build, innovate, and create growth opportunities.
• Commercial ownership — strong focus on profitability and sustainable business performance.
• Customer focus — commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
• Strategic thinking — ability to develop long-term vision while executing practical solutions.
• Team leadership — ability to inspire, develop, and align teams toward common goals.
• Execution excellence — ability to move from strategy to measurable results.

• Improvement in clinic profitability and financial performance.
• Growth in client volumes and service utilization.
• Increased operational efficiency and reduced cost leakage.
• Establishment of a niche women's healthcare brand in Pakistan.
