Community Manager
Educative
Date: 9 hours ago
City: Lahore
Contract type: Full time
Educative has spent years helping developers build the skills that matter most — through hands-on, practical learning that actually sticks. Now we're building something entirely new. Fenzo is a first-of-its-kind brand, designed to change the way people think about learning in the age of AI. We're looking for the right people to help define what it becomes — and how it shows up in the world.
Responsibilities
Educative is looking for an enthusiastic Community Manager to build and grow our presence across the communities Fenzo serves — students, educators, professionals, and self-learners alike. This is an early-career role ideal for someone who lives and breathes online spaces, is comfortable writing content that resonates, and is excited to wear a lot of hats across community, content, and outreach.
As part of Educative's marketing team, you'll be the person who finds where Fenzo's current and future users already gather, shows up there authentically, creates content that speaks to them, and builds real relationships on Fenzo's behalf. This role isn't narrowly scoped — you should be just as comfortable writing a LinkedIn post as you are moderating a Discord server or reaching out to a potential partner or advocate.
What You'll Do
Must-Haves
Educative makes it easier for software developers to master in-demand skills. Through hands-on courses designed to minimize setup and maximize learning, Educative helps developers and engineering teams become more productive and successful.
Today, millions of developers and engineering teams love learning with Educative. We're also expanding beyond software development with Fenzo, our newly launched AI-powered learning platform built to help a broader range of learners understand what they're studying, not just get quick answers.
Educative is a fast-growing and even faster-moving software startup (recently ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 as one of the world's fastest growing tech companies). Your work as a Community Manager will be vital to the objectives of the company and Marketing team, especially as we grow Fenzo's community from the ground up. Your output will be customer-facing, so your impact will be visible and meaningful.
Educative's growing community of developers, engineering leaders, and now Fenzo learners will depend on you!
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.

This role isn't narrowly scoped — you should be just as comfortable writing a LinkedIn post as you are moderating a Discord server or reaching out to a potential partner or advocate.
What You'll Do
- Community Discovery & Presence
- Identify and map where Fenzo's audiences spend time online — this includes student-focused spaces like subreddits, Discord servers, and campus forums, but also educator communities, professional groups, and self-learner spaces on X, LinkedIn, and elsewhere.
- Build genuine presence in these spaces before pushing any Fenzo message — understanding the culture and norms of each community first.
- Continuously scout new platforms and communities as audience behavior shifts, so Fenzo is never late to where the conversation is happening.
- Community Building & Engagement
- Actively participate in relevant communities, answering questions, sharing useful resources, and sparking genuine dialogue — not just posting promotional content.
- Build relationships with community moderators, active members, and potential advocates (student, educator, or professional) who can become organic voices for Fenzo.
- Create and nurture Fenzo's own community spaces (Discord, subreddit, or similar) as a home base for engaged users.
- Content Creation
- Write and publish content for channels like LinkedIn, X, and Reddit, tailored to how each platform's audience actually consumes content.
- Help shape Fenzo's voice across written social content — posts, threads, comments, and community responses.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product to turn Fenzo's product updates and capabilities into content that resonates with real users.
- Outreach & Relationship Building
- Conduct outreach to students, teachers, and other potential users or advocates to introduce Fenzo and build genuine relationships.
- Identify and connect with potential creators, educators, or community voices who could authentically speak to Fenzo's value.
- Help manage outreach relationships end-to-end — first contact, follow-up, and ongoing engagement.
- Insight Gathering
- Listen closely to what users across different communities are struggling with, what language they use to describe their pain points, and what alternatives they're discussing.
- Report community feedback, sentiment, and trends back to Marketing and Product teams to shape strategy and messaging.
Must-Haves
- Genuine familiarity with online communities relevant to Fenzo's audience — particularly student spaces, but also comfort navigating educator, professional, or self-learner communities.
- Active, genuine presence on platforms like Reddit, Discord, X, or LinkedIn, ideally with a track record of engagement.
- Strong written communication skills — comfortable writing content and initiating outreach in a way that feels authentic rather than corporate.
- Comfortable wearing many hats — someone who can go from writing a LinkedIn post, to moderating a Discord, to reaching out to a potential partner, all in the same day.
- Experience moderating or running a Discord server, subreddit, or similar community.
- Prior experience running or growing a personal or brand social/content presence.
- Familiarity with the ed-tech, education, or professional learning space.
- Previous involvement in student organizations, educator networks, or professional communities.
- Comfortable with cold outreach and building relationships from scratch.
