Computer Operator - SiliconWhiz

Our client SiliconWhiz is hiring a Computer Operator in Lahore.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control computer systems and data center equipment.
- Maintain and manage computer systems and hardware including peripherals.
- Operate and oversee the company’s computer hardware systems, ensuring they function efficiently and securely.
- Perform regular backups and recovery operations to guarantee data integrity.
- Follow standard operating protocols, manage error messages, and respond to system issues.
- Assist in the resolution of data processing problems.
- Execute routine security updates and system maintenance tasks.
- Document system performance, operational issues, and maintenance tasks.
- Provide technical support for desktop applications and facilitate troubleshooting.

Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience as a computer operator or in a similar role.
- Availability to work full-time on-site with flexibility for different shifts if required.
- Familiarity with computer systems, network protocols, and data center operations.
- Basic understanding of IT and computer system troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Good understanding of backup and recovery processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures as needed.
