Job Summary

Plutus21 is an investment and consulting firm headquartered in Dallas. The firm works with middle-market companies and their investors on go-to-market, data and technology initiatives, and publishes research and commentary that reaches a wide audience of investors, operators and students.

We are seeking a Content Writer and Editor who is equally strong in both disciplines. The role is responsible for writing the copy that explains the firm's work across website pages, blog articles and social posts, and for editing material produced by consultants, researchers and marketers so that everything published is accurate, clear and consistent in voice. Much of the subject matter is technical or operational, including go-to-market systems, revenue operations, AI implementation and data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and edit website copy, blog articles and long-form pieces based on the firm's research.
• Edit drafts submitted from across the firm for accuracy, structure, voice and readability, and challenge arguments that are weak or claims that are unsupported.
• Write LinkedIn and other social copy that adapts research and memos into posts that stand on their own.
• Edit research pieces and write SEO content, selecting topics on the basis of keyword research and search intent.
• Work with the marketing team to move the content calendar from brief through to publication.
• Review content performance and use the results to determine what to write, update or retire.
• Maintain a consistent publishing schedule across all channels.
• Improve the clarity and consistency of existing website and blog copy, and extend the reach of the firm's research among target executives and investors.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Professional experience writing and editing B2B content, preferably for a consulting, technology or financial services audience.
• A portfolio demonstrating both disciplines, including pieces written by the candidate and, where available, before-and-after examples of edited work.
• The ability to explain technical and operational concepts in plain language.
• Working knowledge of SEO writing. Experience with Semrush is an advantage.
• Experience writing social media copy for a professional audience.
• Strong research habits, including fact-checking, questioning unsupported claims and identifying the central point in complex material.
• The ability to manage several assignments concurrently, accept feedback and meet deadlines.
