We are now hiring a Cybersecurity Instructor for our 12-week Cybersecurity Analyst Program, focused on preparing learners for entry-level SOC, blue-team, and defensive security roles.

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on cybersecurity practitioner who has worked in real security environments and can teach students how defensive security actually works in the industry.
This is not a lecture-only role. The instructor will lead live sessions, run practical labs, review student work, mentor learners, and help them build a strong cybersecurity portfolio through real tools, exercises, and project-based learning.
The goal is simple: students should not just understand cybersecurity concepts, they should be able to perform real analyst-level tasks with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver live, hands-on cybersecurity sessions across a 12-week cohort
• Lead 3 sessions per week, 2 hours per session
• Teach practical blue-team and SOC concepts using real tools and scenarios
• Design and run labs covering SIEM, log analysis, incident response, threat detection, web security, cloud security, and security monitoring
• Review weekly lab submissions, quizzes, reports, and practical assignments
• Provide clear, useful, and constructive feedback to students
• Guide learners in building portfolio-ready work, including GitHub write-ups, TryHackMe or HackTheBox profiles, and capstone projects
• Support students with mock interviews, job readiness, and practical career guidance
• Keep the curriculum relevant as cybersecurity tools, threats, and industry expectations evolve
• Set realistic expectations with learners about cybersecurity careers and entry-level security roles
  
  
  

What You Will Teach
The instructor should be comfortable teaching practical, hands-on topics across:

• Networking fundamentals, Linux security, Windows security, and basic scripting
• Bash and Python for security tasks
• The attacker’s mindset, including MITRE ATT&CK, reconnaissance, scanning, and how attacks appear in logs
• Web application security, including OWASP Top 10, Burp Suite, and vulnerability reporting
• SOC operations, including SIEM, log analysis, detection writing, threat intelligence, and alert investigation
• Tools such as Splunk, Elastic, Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Snort, Suricata, and Sysmon
• Incident response, basic digital forensics, and malware triage
• Cloud security fundamentals, especially AWS and IAM
• Introductory AI security, automation, SOAR, and GRC concepts
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate should have:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a defensive or operational cybersecurity role
• Experience as a SOC Analyst, Security Engineer, Incident Responder, Blue-Team Analyst, or similar role
• Strong practical understanding of SIEM, log analysis, networking, Linux security, and Windows security
• Working knowledge of web application security and OWASP Top 10
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and incident response workflows
• Practical experience with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Splunk, Elastic, Snort, Suricata, or similar platforms
• Basic scripting ability in Bash and/or Python
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics in a simple, beginner-friendly way
• The ability to mentor students, review their work, and give practical feedback
• Fluency in English
  
  
  

Nice to Have

• Cloud security experience, especially AWS or Azure
• Experience with IAM, cloud misconfigurations, and cloud security monitoring
• Exposure to AI security, LLM security, SOAR, or security automation
• Familiarity with GRC frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, BTL1, ISC2 CC, CEH, OSCP, or similar
• Prior teaching, training, mentoring, or content creation experience
• Bug bounty, freelance, or client-facing cybersecurity experience
• Public write-ups, GitHub projects, TryHackMe, HackTheBox, or portfolio evidence of hands-on work
  
  
  

This Role Is Not For
This role is not suitable for candidates whose cybersecurity experience is limited only to certificates, tutorials, or theoretical knowledge without real hands-on experience.
We are looking for someone who has actually worked with security tools, investigated incidents, analyzed logs, written reports, or operated in a real security environment.

• Schedule: Evenings, 3 sessions per week, 2 hours per session
• Weekly commitment: 6 live hours per week, plus preparation, grading, and student feedback
• Compensation: To be discussed, based on experience and engagement model
