ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Power BI Data Analyst (Senior Software Engineer) to work directly with senior leadership on our data-driven initiatives. In this role, you will analyze and interpret complex data sets to drive business insights and decision-making. Your expertise in Power BI and data flow processes will be crucial in developing innovative solutions for data visualization, reporting, and analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate: Work with internal teams to understand and translate business needs, processes, and challenges into effective data visualizations and dashboards.
• Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and transform large and complex data sets from various sources for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI tools and techniques.
• Data Modeling: Create and optimize data models to ensure accurate and efficient data analysis and reporting.
• ETL and Data Flow Management: Develop, implement, and manage ETL processes and data flows to ensure seamless data integration and availability for reporting.
• Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to identify correlations, trends, and relationships in data.
• Data Storytelling: Present data findings in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, using visualizations, charts, and narratives.
• Data Governance: Ensure data integrity, quality, and security by adhering to data governance and compliance policies.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and decision-makers, to understand their requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Power BI, data analysis techniques, and ETL processes to continuously improve and enhance data analysis capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in data visualization, with 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development, including creating visually compelling dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Domain Knowledge: Prior working experience in travel management, travel insurance, or membership-based organizations is a plus.
• Certifications: Power BI certification is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Proven 3+ years of experience in Power BI development, including creating visually compelling dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data modeling concepts.
• Ability to write DAX queries and proficiency with SQL, databases, and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data flow management tools or frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data analysis, such as Python or R.
• Familiarity with data integration, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience in travel insurance and membership selling business is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is an added advantage.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in working independently and in collaboration with different teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to a non-technical audience.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.

COMPENSATION: Based on experience + bonus + benefits
