DevOps Engineer
Qureos
Qureos — Mid-Level
About Qureos
Qureos is redefining how companies hire with AI. Backed by leading investors including Prosus Ventures and COTU Ventures, Qureos recently raised a $5M Seed round to accelerate the future of hiring.
Trusted by 1,000+ enterprise and public sector organizations, Qureos helps companies compress hiring timelines from months to as little as six days through AI-powered sourcing, screening, and interviewing. Our platform distributes jobs across 2,000+ global channels, screens candidates in under 15 seconds, and automates recruitment workflows at scale, turning hiring from an operational bottleneck into a competitive advantage.
We're building the infrastructure layer for modern hiring: an AI-native platform that enables organizations to hire faster, smarter, and more efficiently at scale. This is a chance to join a category-defining company at a high-growth stage and help shape the future of hiring globally.
The Product You'll Be Keeping Alive
Every one of those "screen a candidate in 15 seconds" and "six-day time-to-hire" numbers is a production promise. You'll own the infrastructure behind our AI sourcing, screening, and interviewing engine, and the pipelines that distribute jobs across 2,000+ channels, the systems our 1,000+ customers depend on to actually hire people, not just browse a dashboard.
The Role
Why: As we scale globally, reliability becomes the product. You'll design and run the infrastructure behind Qureos, and just as importantly, keep it healthy in production, catching problems before customers do and owning the response when something breaks.
What you'll do:
- Design, deploy, and manage our cloud infrastructure on GCP, including container orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Cloud Run) that get code out safely and fast
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus, New Relic) so degradations get caught before customers feel them
- Define and own SLOs/SLIs and error budgets for critical services
- Lead incident response end-to-end triage, form and test a hypothesis, mitigate, resolve and act as incident commander on major incidents
- Run blameless postmortems and drive corrective actions to closure
- Administer and optimize MongoDB, including backup and disaster recovery
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and reduce toil through scripting (Python/Bash) and IaC (Terraform/Ansible)
- Participate in on-call and work closely with development, QA, and engineering teams on production-related issues
Who we need:
- Mid-level DevOps/SRE experience, with real production ownership not just build-out
- Hands-on with GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, GKE), Docker, and Kubernetes
- Comfortable with MongoDB administration and optimization
- Sound debugging methodology: observe, form a hypothesis, confirm with data before acting, and reason about how components fail together
- Working knowledge of IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions/CircleCI)
- Can speak concretely about incidents you've owned impact, duration, and what changed afterward
- Strong ownership and a blameless, collaborative posture under pressure
Nice to have: experience with AWS or Azure, Agile/Scrum familiarity, relevant certifications (Docker, GCP, etc.)
