HIRING ALERT – “Director Active ”
Location: Islamabad
Experience: 15-20 years
Full-Time | On-Site
Sky47 is looking for highly skilled and technically proficient “Director Active” to join our expanding team.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Strategic Technology Leadership
• Own and continuously evolve the organization's multi-year IT strategy and technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities and responsiveness to a fast-changing technology landscape
• Serve as a technology advisor to executive leadership — shaping investment decisions, surfacing risks, and championing the role of technology as a strategic business enabler
• Lead the organization's approach to technology adoption, including AI, cloud-native platforms, and infrastructure modernization, with a clear view of where to invest, partner, or build
• Establish and maintain IT governance standards, operating models, and policy frameworks that drive accountability, compliance, and operational consistency across all domains.
B. Infrastructure & Platform Governance
• Hold accountability for the availability, utilization, resilience, and evolution of the organization's core infrastructure platforms — data center, compute, storage, and networking
• Ensure the infrastructure estate is positioned to meet current and future business demands, with a clear modernization roadmap and disciplined approach to lifecycle management
• Own the organization's DR and BCP posture, ensuring readiness is regularly tested, documented, and aligned with defined business continuity requirements
• Drive infrastructure automation and operational efficiency as organizational priorities, enabling teams to scale without proportional headcount growth.
C. Cloud & AI Infrastructure
• Own the organization's cloud strategy and platform posture across public, private, and hybrid environments, ensuring cost efficiency, security, and alignment with business workload requirements
• Ensure cloud and AI platforms are designed, operated and governed with appropriate security controls, cost management practices, and performance standards — positioning the organization to deliver cloud and AI services reliably at scale
• Partner with relevant product, sales and marketing teams to anticipate infrastructure requirements for cloud/AI services, translating business ambitions into platform capabilities
• Stay ahead of the AI infrastructure landscape to advise on platform choices, vendor partnerships, and emerging capabilities relevant to the organization's AI roadmap.
D. Enterprise IT & Digital Workplace
• Ensure the organization's enterprise IT environment — covering employee-facing systems, business applications, and collaboration tools — is reliable, secure, and continuously improving in its ability to support organizational productivity
• Hold accountability for the performance and lifecycle of enterprise platforms including ITSM/ITAM/ITOM, ERP, CRM, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business
• Oversee IT Service Management standards and service desk performance, with a focus on user experience, resolution quality, and measurable service outcomes
• Champion AI-assisted productivity tools, platform integrations and digital workplace initiatives that enhance how employees work and how IT services are delivered.
E. Security, Compliance & Risk
• Own the organization's IT security posture and risk management framework, ensuring a consistent and comprehensive approach to protection across all infrastructure, cloud, AI, and enterprise IT environments
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and industry frameworks, and represent IT in organizational risk, audit, and governance forums
• Drive a culture of security-first thinking across the IT organization, including accountability for timely vulnerability management, access governance, and incident preparedness
• Hold accountability for data protection and privacy standards as they relate to IT-managed platforms and AI systems handling sensitive workloads.
F. People, Vendors, Financial & Stakeholder Stewardship
• Build, lead, empower and develop a high-performing IT leadership team, investing in their growth and holding clear performance expectations
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the IT organization, and act as a visible champion for IT talent and capability development
• Own the consolidated IT budget (CAPEX & OPEX) across all domains, driving financial discipline, transparent reporting, and active cost optimization without compromising service quality
• Manage strategic relationships with technology vendors, service providers, key partners and stakeholders — ensuring contractual commitments are met, partnerships deliver value, and the organization's interests are protected
• Maintain a clear view of the IT talent landscape and build succession planning and capability development into the DNA of the organization
