Entomologist

The Pointerz Group is a pest management company serving factories, food processing plants, warehouses and homes across Pakistan. We’re looking for an Entomologist to lead the technical side of our pest control work and help keep our clients’ sites audit-ready.

What you’ll do

• Identify insects, rodents and other pests found at client sites, and work out where they’re coming from and why

• Design and review Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programmes for commercial and industrial clients

• Carry out site inspections and risk assessments at factories, food plants and warehouses

• Recommend the right treatment for each problem, including chemical, non-chemical and preventive measures

• Review monitoring data from bait stations, traps and insect light traps, and spot trends before they become infestations

• Prepare technical reports and support clients during food safety and quality audits

• Train and guide our field technicians on pest biology, identification and safe treatment

• Make sure all treatments follow safety rules and client and audit requirements

• Keep up with new pest management methods and products

What we’re looking for

• A degree in Entomology, Zoology, Agriculture or a related field (a Master’s is a plus)

• Ability to identify common stored-product, structural and public health pests

• Understanding of IPM principles and pesticide safety

• Experience in pest control, food safety or agriculture is preferred

• Familiarity with food safety standards and audits (such as HACCP, BRC, AIB or ISO 22000) is a strong plus

• Clear written and spoken communication in English and Urdu

• Willingness to travel to client sites
