Earth Supermarket seeks a highly motivated and experienced Finance and Admin Manager to oversee financial operations and administrative functions within a dynamic retail supermarket environment. The ideal candidate holds ACCA qualification (member or finalist) and brings at least five years of specialized experience in retail supermarket finance. This pivotal role requires a strong command of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and cash flow management, alongside expertise in inventory control and retail accounting. The Finance and Admin Manager plays a central role in ensuring the companys financial health and regulatory compliance by managing all facets of finance and administration effectively.
This position also demands exceptional leadership and communication capabilities to supervise and develop a dedicated team of five professionals. The successful candidate will lead the finance and administration team to enhance operational efficiency, maintain internal controls, and uphold statutory requirements. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Financials, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, are essential to thrive in this role. Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports that comply with regulatory standards.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to align with company objectives and support business growth.
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable processes ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions.
- Oversee payroll administration to ensure proper employee compensation and adherence to legal requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with tax laws, statutory regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Monitor inventory valuation and apply robust retail financial controls to maintain cost effectiveness and minimize discrepancies.
- Supervise administrative operations to support smooth and efficient business processes across departments.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and policies for finance and administration functions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five finance and administration professionals to achieve high-performance standards and professional growth.
- Coordinate vendor management activities, including contract review and vendor performance monitoring to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Utilize ERP software such as SAP or Oracle Financials for financial transactions and reporting to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate financial management with operational strategies and administrative activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial procedures and administrative processes contributing to overall organizational efficiency.
- Report financial insights and key performance metrics to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data and sensitive company information at all times.
