SMB Services is looking for a Financial Research Analyst for a US-based client

Their clients include some of the world's largest asset managers, who rely on advanced analytics and algorithms to make investment decisions involving hundreds of billions of dollars in assets

Position Details

• Job Title: Financial Research Analyst
• Job Type: Remote
• Working Hours: 10-hour workday with core overlap during 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM ET
• Location Preference: Karachi-based candidates will be preferred for equipment logistics and operational coordination
• Experience Required: 2-4 years
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct business and industry research on companies and sectors.
• Analyze revenue drivers, operating segments, and reporting structures.
• Maintain linkages between alternative data sources and company-reported KPIs.
• Review and update company, brand, and metric mappings within the research platform.
• Track corporate actions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and new brand launches.
• Work with AI/LLM tools to develop and refine prompts and improve research outputs.
• Perform quality assurance on forecasts and research reports.
• Identify new coverage opportunities based on data availability and market relevance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Data Science, Engineering, and Product.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong understanding of financial statements, company disclosures, and management commentary.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
• Experience in research, finance, market intelligence, or a related field will be preferred.
