Hardware Mechanical Design Associate

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with relevant experience to join our on-site hardware team. You will play a key role in the design, prototyping, and optimization of mechanical components and systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to market.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and products using CAD software (NX Siemens is preferred).
• Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) analysis for prototypes and production.
• Support the prototyping phase using 3D printing, CNC, and other fabrication methods.
• Collaborate with the product design and electronics team to ensure seamless integration.
• Prepare detailed drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and stress/thermal calculations where needed.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors for part sourcing and manufacturing.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and reliability standards.
  
  

What are we looking for and what does it require to be the right fit for this role?

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Relevant work experience in product design and development.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (NX Siemens is preferred).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (injection moulding, compression moulding, sheet metal, machining, 3D printing).
• Basic knowledge of FEA/CFD simulations (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Eye for detail, good communication and teamwork skills.
