Incharge Contracts

Qualifications: BSc / BE / ME / MSc Civil Engineering

Experience: 10– 15 years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including preparation, review, negotiation, execution, and administration of construction contracts in accordance with project requirements and applicable Pakistani laws.
• Ensure compliance with PEC regulations, PPRA requirements (where applicable), FIDIC conditions of contract, and contractual obligations related to dam and hydropower projects.
• Monitor contract performance, variations, claims, extension of time (EOT), and payment milestones while ensuring timely resolution of contractual disputes.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure effective contract management, risk mitigation, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain comprehensive contractual documentation, correspondence, notices, and records while supporting management in commercial negotiations, dispute resolution, and contractual risk assessment.
• Advises PM/SM to ensure that all verbal and written instructions issued by Engineer and/or Employer’s staff are notified and copied to the department of contract matters immediately on daily basis.
• Ensure that execution of work & major events under the contract are notified to the engineer and the employer.
• Responsible for preparation of claims and variation orders in accordance with contract provisions and dispute resolution procedures
• Review progress and advise PM/SM of the implications of delay in order to make improvements in the rate of progress.
• Review and compare the tender drawings and construction drawings and determine the impact of contractual alterations, additions or omissions
• Responsible for making necessary agreements for subcontractors as per requirement of the project
• Responsible for dealing with contract matters in respect of work-subcontracted through sub-contractor sections such as issuing instructions to the sub-contractor and certification of payments to the subcontractors for the work done each month
• Responsible for preparation and submission of substantiate and settle extension of time claim with the engineer / employer.
• Responsible to issue contractual notices to Engineer/Employer of all events that may result in Extension of Time and/or Additional Costs and variations under the contact provisions.
• Accountable to create a safe working environment, manage risks, reduce exposure to hazardous liability and ensure implementation of QHSE policy
