This role is responsible for coordinating payroll inputs, contractor payments, reconciliations, worker lifecycle activities, and compliance-related processes across multiple countries, systems, and external partners.
The ideal candidate has experience in payroll, payments, finance operations, or workforce operations, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized International Payroll & Operations Specialist to support payroll and payment operations for a growing global workforce.
This role is responsible for coordinating payroll inputs, contractor payments, reconciliations, worker lifecycle activities, and compliance-related processes across multiple countries, systems, and external partners.
The ideal candidate has experience in payroll, payments, finance operations, or workforce operations, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
International Payroll & Payments
- Support payroll and payment processing across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with external payroll providers, payment partners, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Review payroll and payment inputs, including hours, rates, deductions, bonuses, invoices, and terminations.
- Process and coordinate weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly contractor payouts.
- Validate payment amounts, currencies, and payment methods.
- Investigate and resolve payroll or payment discrepancies, delays, and failed transactions.
- Reconcile payroll and payment records against invoices, timesheets, system records, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate payroll, payment, and worker records.
- Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Maintain payment logs, supporting documentation, and audit trails.
- Prepare operational reports and assist with data validation and analysis.
- Support worker onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle changes affecting payroll and payments.
- Maintain accurate worker information across internal systems and third-party platforms.
- Support contractor verification, KYC, tax documentation, and other compliance-related processes.
- Assist with operational workflows related to employees, contractors, EOR/AOR arrangements, and global workforce administration.
- Identify process gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a point of contact for payroll and payment-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Customer Support, Compliance, and external providers to resolve issues.
- Communicate payroll and payment requirements clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Escalate complex or sensitive issues appropriately and ensure timely resolution.
- Work across payroll platforms, payment systems, ERP systems, and internal operational tools.
- Support implementation of new payment methods, providers, and system enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased operational efficiency.
- Assist with process documentation, system clean-up, and ad hoc operational projects.
- 2–5 years of experience in payroll, payments operations, accounts payable, finance operations, HR operations, or workforce operations.
- Experience supporting international or multi-country payroll or payment processes.
- Experience handling high-volume transactions with strong attention to detail.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions.
- Experience working with payroll, payment, ERP, or financial systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with global contractor payments or payroll operations.
- Experience working with EOR/AOR or global payroll providers.
- Familiarity with payment providers such as Wise, Payoneer, Stripe, ACH, wire transfers, or digital wallets.
- Understanding of multi-currency payments and basic FX considerations.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar.
- Experience in a high-growth or scaling environment.
- Process improvement, automation, or documentation experience.
- Basic understanding of international payroll and payment compliance requirements.
