Our client Arbisoft is hiring a IT System and Network Intern in Lahore.
We are looking for a motivated System & Network Administration Intern to join our IT Operations team. This internship is intended for students or fresh graduates who have a basic understanding of computer systems and networking and are eager to build practical skills in an enterprise IT environment. The intern will learn by assisting the team with day-to-day IT operations under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the team in day-to-day system and network administration tasks.
- Observe and support basic server and network monitoring activities.
- Assist in maintaining technical documentation and system records.
- Support basic troubleshooting of operating systems and network connectivity under supervision.
- Assist with software installation, system updates, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Learn enterprise IT infrastructure, virtualization, and server technologies.
- Follow IT policies, procedures, and security best practices.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic theoretical understanding of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP Addressing).
- Basic knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with basic computer hardware and software installation.
- Basic understanding of virtualization concepts is a plus.
- Willingness to learn, strong analytical thinking, and good communication skills.
- Basic familiarity with Linux command line.
- Exposure to virtualization tools (VirtualBox, VMware, or Proxmox) through personal labs or coursework.
- Basic understanding of web servers, databases, or cloud platforms.
- Interest in scripting (Bash or Python) is an advantage.
- Duration: 2 months
