The Role

ACE Money Transfer is a UK-based international remittance business processing over half a million transactions per month across a global network of payment partners, acquirers, and banking relationships. The Payments and Banking Infrastructure team is responsible for the performance of that network.

This is an entry-level analytical role sitting within the Analysis and Optimization pillar. You will work directly under the Data Analyst, supporting the day-to-day data work that keeps PBI informed and performing. You will handle data pulls, routine reporting, and analytical tasks delegated to you, freeing the Data Analyst to focus on higher-level insight and strategic analysis.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable in data, eager to learn payments, and wants to build a career in a fast-moving fintech environment.

What You Will Be Doing

Data Pulls and Reporting

• Run regular data extracts across payment performance, acceptance rates, and transaction volumes as directed
• Produce routine reporting outputs; daily, weekly, and monthly to a consistent standard and on time
• Maintain and update existing trackers and reporting templates accurately
• Ensure data outputs are clean, correctly formatted, and sense-checked before sharing
  
  

Analytical Support

• Support the Commercial Analyst on ad hoc analytical tasks; slicing data by corridor, payment method, acquirer, BIN range, or other dimensions as required
• Assist in identifying anomalies or patterns in payment performance data when directed
• Help maintain the payments data quality issue log; updating statuses, logging new findings, and tracking resolution progress
• Support the preparation of data inputs for the monthly CEO brief under the direction of the Data Analyst
  
  

BI and Dashboard Support

• Assist with quality checking Business Intelligence dashboard outputs against underlying data
• Support the Data Analyst in documenting BI requirements clearly enough for the Business Intelligence team to build from
  
  

General Data Operations

• Maintain organized data files, records, and reference documentation across the Analysis and Optimization function
• Flag anything that looks incorrect, inconsistent, or unexpected in the data
• Respond to routine data requests from across the PBI team promptly and accurately
  
  

Essential

What We Are Looking For

• 1 - 2 years of experience in a data, analytical, or reporting role
• Comfortable working with data in Excel or Google Sheets; able to use formulas, pivot tables, and basic data manipulation without guidance
• SQL knowledge or willingness to learn quickly
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent English Communication (both written & verbal)
  
  

Desirable

• Exposure to payments, fintech, or financial services data
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
• Python or any scripting experience for data manipulation
• Degree in a quantitative field, i.e., economics, finance, computer science, mathematics, statistics
