Looking for a passionate expert level front-end engineer eager to solve complex problems at a global scale.

• This role will also be directly responsible for delivering capabilities to create delightful user experiences for our members.
• Will require an individual to design, build, debug, optimize and implement solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment participating and working closely with a highly motivated team serving millions of customers on a daily basis.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Creating next generation of web interaction for a top level eCommerce site
Building highly composable, reusable components from the ground up using design systems
Ensuring the longevity, scalability and quality of our systems through continuous improvement, comprehensive documentation, meticulous profiling, and front end performance enhancements.
Mentoring a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Duties and Essential Functions:
Accountable for the architecture and development of new, highly-responsive, web-based user interfaces, using React.js concepts and workflows, such as Redux, Server-Side Rendering, Styled Components, and Storybook.
Establishes and maintains engineering best practices to deliver higher quality, performant, scalable solutions.
Mentors and develops software engineers by providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Establishes and maintains coding standards, architectural patterns, and development processes.
Works cross-functionally to pilot innovative technologies and capabilities that enhance overall member experience and drive business operational efficiencies.
Performs development, debugging, optimization, and automation activities to support the implementation of the product/application.
Uses test-driven development practices to assist with the detection of software defects early in the development process.
Conducts peer code reviews for the changes made by other engineers within the team.
Accountable for defining specifications and documentation across all phases of the product development cycle, from design to implementation.
Works with the product team on defining the product strategy and roadmap.
Estimates, plans, and manages all implementation tasks and reports on progress.
Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications:
Required:
10+ years of frontend development experience with progressive UI technologies: ReactJs, Typescript, HTML, CSS3.
2+ years of experience with NextJs.
10+ years of hands-on experience in architecting, designing and deploying applications in a public cloud environment (GCP preferred).
10+ years of hands-on experience in JavaScript and React concepts, advanced front-end coding skills, and an expert level understanding of progressive web applications.
10+ years of experience developing and writing unit tests using React Testing Library and Jest.
10+ years of experience debugging and performance testing.
5+ years of experience leading development with engineers in multiple geographical locations and time zones
5+ years of experience working on building scalable cloud native architecture
3+ years of experience working with Storybook.js and Chromatic.
Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA principles, patterns, and screen reader testing.
Proficiency with building responsive layouts using CSS and CSS-precompilation.
Ability to integrate 3rd party APIs and a strong understanding of REST and GraphQL patterns.
Proficiency with client-side application bundling and optimization.
10+ years of experience developing within an agile methodology.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate to both technical and Business audiences.
Possesses strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, effectively conveying product vision and influencing a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.
Ability to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency.
Responsible, conscientious, organized, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
Detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze potential future issues.
Able to support off-hours work as required, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Recommended:
Experience developing in an online ecommerce environment
Experience with MUI v5 components, Redux.
Experience using Figma, Storybook, design mockups, and prototypes during development
Familiarity with design patterns and microservices-based architecture patterns.
Experience with API development, with an emphasis on security and performance.
Experience with writing complex Graphql, MongoDB, SQL or similar database queries.
Experience with MemoryStore, Redis or similar technologies.
Knowledge of SOX, PII, PCI, CCPA, HIPPA regulations for transactions, security, and confidentiality
