Job: Management Trainee – Finance
Job Profile:
As a Management Trainee – Finance, you will gain structured, hands-on exposure to core accounting and financial operations across a portfolio of software businesses. Working closely with the finance team, you will support key processes such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL) activities, and month-end close.
This role is designed to build a strong foundation in accounting, financial reporting, and financial systems within a global, acquisition-driven environment. You will gain exposure to financial reporting standards, including US GAAP, while supporting integration activities for newly acquired operating companies. You will also be introduced to process improvement initiatives, including automation and AI-driven tools.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL) activities.
- Assist in preparation of journal entries and month-end close processes.
- Perform basic balance sheet and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparation of financial reports and schedules.
- Support audit processes by organizing and preparing documentation.
- Assist in tracking cash balances and preparing basic reports.
- Support data collection for budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Perform basic variance analysis under supervision.
- Assist in integration activities for newly acquired operating companies, including data organization and validation.
- Learn and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify simple process improvement opportunities and support automation and AI-related initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members across finance functions.
Qualifications for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience or internships.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and willingness to learn US GAAP.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to ERP systems is an asset.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
