Manager Taxation

Our client GumCorp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager Taxation to join our dynamic team in a permanent capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Oversee all tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of federal, state, local, and international tax returns.
• Manage and lead tax audits, effectively representing the company and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Conduct thorough tax research on complex issues, including international tax, transfer pricing, corporate tax, sales tax, and VAT, to provide accurate guidance and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Legal) to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions and transactions.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and proactively adapt strategies and processes to maintain compliance and optimize tax positions.
• Mentor and manage a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in taxation, encompassing a broad range of tax areas.
• Demonstrated expertise in Tax Law, Tax Planning, Tax Compliance, Tax Research, Tax Audits, Transfer Pricing, International Tax, Corporate Tax, Sales Tax, and VAT.
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software, ERP Systems, and Spreadsheet Software for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong Data Analysis and Analytical Thinking skills to interpret complex financial and tax data.
