Description

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a Microbiologist for its Jamshoro, Sindh facility. The successful candidate will ensure accurate microbiological testing of food-grade products and maintain compliance with internal, corporate, and regulatory quality standards. This role involves environmental monitoring, data analysis, audit participation, and active involvement in continuous improvement of laboratory and quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing to meet corporate, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments; ensure safe lab operations.
• Execute and reassess the Environmental Monitoring (EM) program.
• Accurately record data in SAP and report non-conformances to the Lead Microbiologist.
• Support and participate in internal and customer audits related to quality and food safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation, calibration, and compliance records per ISO, IMS, and accreditation standards.
• Contribute to staff development through training and performance support.
  
  

Requirements

• BS (Hons) or MS (Hons) in Microbiology or Food Sciences.
• 1–2 years of experience in QA/QC Microbial Laboratory within the Food, Pharma, or Chemical industry.
• Strong skills in microbial analysis, instrument calibration, and environmental monitoring.
• Working knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 standards.
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and Six Sigma concepts.
• Fluent in English with good analytical and documentation abilities.
• Must be a team player and adaptable to change.
