Microsoft 365 Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Solutions Architect / Senior M365 Engineer to serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of enterprise Microsoft 365 environments. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise across Microsoft cloud technologies, identity and access management, security, automation, and enterprise collaboration platforms.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Okta, PKI, and Identity & Access Management (IAM). The role also requires experience integrating Microsoft 365 services with AWS and other cloud platforms, along with a strong understanding of networking and security best practices.

This individual will lead architecture and modernization initiatives, drive automation, troubleshoot complex enterprise issues, and provide strategic guidance on Microsoft 365 governance, security, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 environments.
• Serve as the primary technical SME for Microsoft 365 architecture, administration, and operational support.
• Manage and optimize Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, and hybrid identity environments.
• Lead identity and access management initiatives, including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust security architectures.
• Administer and support Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Intune.
• Integrate Microsoft 365 services with Okta and other identity providers.
• Design and manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate lifecycle management, and authentication services.
• Implement security, compliance, data protection, and governance best practices across the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, Power Automate, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Support cloud integrations involving AWS and multi-cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents related to identity, security, collaboration, and endpoint management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams on enterprise technology initiatives.
• Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering and support teams.
• Evaluate new Microsoft technologies and recommend improvements to enhance security, efficiency, and scalability.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering and supporting enterprise Microsoft environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Deep expertise in:
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Active Directory and Hybrid Identity
• Exchange Online
• Microsoft Teams
• SharePoint Online
• OneDrive for Business
• Microsoft Intune
• Microsoft Defender and related security services
  
• Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts and technologies.
• Experience implementing and supporting Okta integrations and federated authentication solutions.
• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificates, and authentication services.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience with Power Automate and Microsoft Power Platform integrations.
• Experience integrating Microsoft solutions with AWS and other cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and secure connectivity.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise infrastructure and cloud issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Microsoft certifications such as:
• Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  
• AWS Certifications are a plus.
