Med Cards Now is seeking a dedicated and skilled WordPress Developer with three years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in WordPress core development, plugin customization, and theme modification, able to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can enhance website functionality, user experience, and performance, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, and SEO. Experience with WooCommerce and mastery of front-end and back-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL are essential.

In this role, the WordPress Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining multiple websites while ensuring excellent site performance, security, and compliance with SEO best practices. The candidate will engage in tasks such as implementing responsive and mobile-friendly designs, handling website migrations and backups, integrating third-party services, and optimizing sites for speed and reliability. Although this position does not include managing a team, it demands strong independent work ability, effective communication on project status, and the capability to handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve professional WordPress websites tailored to various project requirements and client needs.
• Customize WordPress themes, child themes, and plugins to create unique, functional, and user-friendly website experiences.
• Build responsive and mobile-friendly sites utilizing Elementor, Elementor Pro, Gutenberg, and other modern page builders.
• Implement front-end and back-end changes using HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery to enhance site interaction and performance.
• Develop, configure, and support WooCommerce websites including product management, checkout processes, payment gateways, and custom functionality.
• Troubleshoot technical issues such as plugin conflicts, theme problems, broken layouts, and error messages, identifying root causes for sustainable solutions.
• Optimize website performance focusing on page load times, caching, image optimization, Core Web Vitals metrics, and overall site efficiency.
• Perform website migrations, backups, restorations, staging, and production deployments with minimal downtime or disruption.
• Integrate third-party services including contact forms, payment gateways, APIs, analytics platforms, and marketing tools to expand website capabilities.
• Maintain website security applying WordPress and web security best practices to protect against malware, spam, and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility for a consistent and accessible user experience across various platforms and devices.
• Implement basic technical SEO practices and collaborate with marketing teams to maximize website visibility and search engine rankings.
• Manage hosting environments effectively using control panels like cPanel, FTP/SFTP, SSL certificates, DNS setups, and database management.
• Test websites thoroughly before deployment, document customizations and configurations, and communicate proactively about project progress and potential blockers.
• Handle multiple assignments efficiently, prioritizing tasks and delivering quality results within agreed deadlines.
• Investigate and resolve complex problems independently through research, diagnostics, and careful implementation of corrective actions related to performance, functionality, security, or compatibility issues.
