We're hiring an experienced CAD Pattern Maker to develop accurate, production ready patterns for men's and women's leather jackets, outerwear and apparel for international markets. This is a technical pattern-making position—not a graphic-design or basic CAD-operator role. The selected candidate must understand garment fit, construction, grading and physical sampling in addition to operating pattern CAD software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate digital patterns from tech packs, physical samples, reference images and finished-garment measurements.
  • Develop new styles using approved men's and women's base blocks.
  • Digitize existing manual/card patterns and convert them into controlled CAD masters.
  • Develop shell, lining, facing, fusing, pocket and reinforcement patterns.
  • Amend patterns based on sample measurements, fit comments, photographs and fitting sessions.
  • Grade approved base patterns across the required US size range.
  • Check seam lengths, balance, curves, sleeve-cap/armhole compatibility, collar/neckline compatibility and shell/lining alignment.
  • Add correct seam allowances, grainlines, notches, drill points, cut quantities and pattern labels.
  • Prepare separate production patterns for leather, fabric, lining and reinforcement materials.
  • Generate full-scale PDFs and DXF AAMA/ASTM files for internal teams and suppliers.
  • Participate in base-size, fit-sample and size-set reviews.
  • Maintain pattern revision history and ensure that obsolete patterns are not used.
  • Build and maintain an organized digital library of approved blocks and production patterns.
  • Work closely with technical design, sampling, cutting, stitching, fit and quality-control teams.

Key Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of professional apparel pattern-making experience.
  • At least two years of hands-on experience using garment pattern CAD software.
  • Proficiency in at least one recognized system such as Gerber AccuMark, Lectra Modaris, Optitex, TUKAcad or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of manual pattern making in addition to CAD.
  • Experience with leather jackets, structured outerwear, coats, bombers or similar products is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of US men's and women's sizing, finished-garment measurements and grading rules.
  • Ability to translate fitting problems into precise pattern corrections.
  • Good understanding of leather thickness, stretch direction, turn-of-cloth, lining, interfacing and hardware placement.
  • Ability to work accurately in both inches and centimetres.
  • Strong file management, pattern labeling and revision-control discipline.
  • Diploma or qualification in fashion, garment technology or pattern making is preferred, but strong practical experience may substitute.
