We are looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our People & Places team. In this senior role, you'll be a pivotal player in elevating the employee experience by driving operational excellence and strategic process improvements. You will act as a subject matter expert, contributing to key projects, optimizing HR workflows, and partnering with cross-functional teams to provide a seamless employee experience. This role requires a blend of HR knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a passion for using technology to solve complex problems.

About The Role
We are looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our People & Places team. In this senior role, you'll be a pivotal player in elevating the employee experience by driving operational excellence and strategic process improvements. You will act as a subject matter expert, contributing to key projects, optimizing HR workflows, and partnering with cross-functional teams to provide a seamless employee experience. This role requires a blend of HR knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a passion for using technology to solve complex problems.
What You'll Do
- Proactively identify and propose strategic improvements to HR processes and workflows, with a focus on enhancing automation and efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME), resolving complex HR inquiries and escalations in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Provide support to the HR team on various operational tasks, including new hire onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration.
- Maintain compliance requirements with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and assist in both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Develop and maintain our HR Knowledge Base with detailed documentation, optimized for self-service.
- Run regular compliance and audit reports to ensure data accuracy, escalating errors or trends to cross-functional teams to proactively address issues.
- 2-3 years of progressive experience in an HR Operations, People Operations, or HR Generalist role.
- Proven experience in process improvement, system implementation, or workflow automation.
- Expertise in an HRIS such as Workday, including experience with system configuration, data audits, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for leveraging technology, including automation and AI, to improve HR processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
