Job Summary:
The Petty Cash Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's petty cash funds, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, proper documentation, compliance with company policies, and timely reporting to the Finance Department.

The Petty Cash Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's petty cash funds, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, proper documentation, compliance with company policies, and timely reporting to the Finance Department.
Role Overview:
- Position: Petty Cash Accountant
- Department: Finance
- Location: Karachi, Pakistan
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in accounts or petty cash handling.
1. Petty Cash Management
- Maintain and safeguard assigned petty cash funds.
- Process petty cash payments as per approved company policies.
- Ensure all petty cash expenses are properly supported with original bills and vouchers.
- Verify approvals before disbursing any petty cash amount.
- Record all petty cash transactions accurately daily.
- Maintain proper filing of receipts, vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Prepare petty cash reconciliation statements regularly.
- Ensure that no unauthorized or incomplete transactions are processed.
- Conduct periodic reconciliation of petty cash balances.
- Submit petty cash replenishment requests with complete documentation.
- Prepare monthly petty cash expense summaries for management review.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to petty cash.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Immediately report discrepancies or shortages to the Finance Manager.
- Prevent misuse or mismanagement of petty cash funds.
- Coordinate with different departments for petty cash expense verification.
- Assist Accounts team in day-to-day accounting tasks when required.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness
- Good numerical and reconciliation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Time management and organizational skills
