The role

We are seeking a skilled Power Economist for a key power and energy project in Hyderabad, Sindh. The role involves economic analysis, energy resource planning, and policy evaluation to ensure project success. Ideal candidates should have expertise in power economics and experience in the energy sector, working with cross-functional teams to optimize outcomes.

  • Review of report of the Project with special reference to pricing, economic aspects etc.
  • To carry out Economic and financial analyses of the project giving B/C ratio, IRR and NPV
  • Preparation of Sensitivity analysis
  • To carry out Assessment of Internal Rate of Return, Benefit/Cost Ratio, Net Present Value
  • To estimate project benefits, economic and financial rate of return for the project.
  • Carry out financial analysis, assist client to maintain project budgetary/financial control.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable Applicants Will Have/be

  • Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. Master degree in Economics)
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the energy or power sector.
  • Proficient in conducting economic and financial analysis of infrastructure development projects.
  • Specialized knowledge in projects involving transmission lines and grid stations.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills to present economic insights.
  • Experience working on large-scale energy projects is a plus.
