Private Sector Development Expert

The Private Sector and Enterprise Development Expert shall meet the following minimum requirements:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MSME and private sector development, local economic development, with a focus on water-related enterprise opportunities in rural and urban contexts

Experience in identifying and developing water-related business opportunities, including enterprise models in areas such as water supply services, aquaculture, irrigation, water treatment, and agro-processing

Experience in analyzing private sector constraints and opportunities related to water access, reliability, and quality, and developing practical recommendations for private sector engagement

Strong ability to identify, analyse, and adapt best practices from multiple country contexts to the local Sindh setting

Experience in at least one assignment involving international or comparative analysis of water-related enterprise development and successful private sector models from multiple country contexts relevant to developing country settings

Experience with water-related enterprise models, blended finance mechanisms and investment facilitation or productive water use is desirable

Experience working with both rural enterprises and urban SMEs in developing country contexts is required

Experience in Sindh, Pakistan, South Asia, or comparable rural and/or climate-vulnerable contexts is desirable.
