The Assistant Manager Procurement leads a team of seven professionals, coordinating their efforts to meet procurement goals and enhance supplier relationships while minimizing risks and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with company objectives and budget requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships by negotiating contracts, evaluating supplier performance, and fostering long-term partnerships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Oversee the entire procurement cycle, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, purchase order management, and inventory control, to guarantee seamless operations.
• Coordinate and lead a team of seven procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management to achieve departmental goals.
• Conduct comprehensive cost-benefit and risk analyses to make informed purchasing decisions that optimize financial outcomes.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities to assess efficiency and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs, ensuring alignment and support throughout the supply chain.
• Utilize advanced data analysis and financial modeling techniques to forecast procurement trends and assist in budgeting and cost control.
• Manage contract administration and compliance, ensuring that all agreements meet legal, regulatory, and company standards.
• Implement and drive procurement best practices, including supplier audits and risk management processes, to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate procurement performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
• Identify and implement innovative procurement tools and technologies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
