BBJ Pipes Industries Pvt. Ltd is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing operations in steel pipe production. This role requires managing a large plant team of 100 personnel to ensure efficient production planning and delivery of high-quality steel pipes. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination between Quality Control, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to maintain strict compliance with API, ISO, safety, and environmental standards. A strong focus on equipment reliability, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles is essential to achieve operational excellence and cost-efficient production.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering, with a Masters degree as an added advantage. With 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial operations, the candidate must demonstrate proven expertise in production management, preventive maintenance, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Leadership, problem-solving ability, and analytical skills are crucial to drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety culture within the plant.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive production plans to meet manufacturing targets and delivery schedules for steel pipe products.
• Direct daily plant operations ensuring efficient utilization of raw materials, labor, machinery, and other resources.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a workforce of 100 employees, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
• Collaborate closely with Quality Control teams to maintain strict adherence to API and ISO quality standards throughout the production process.
• Coordinate with Maintenance teams to establish preventative maintenance schedules that enhance equipment uptime and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a proactive safety culture across all departments.
• Analyze production data and key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Drive lean manufacturing practices and process optimization initiatives to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve product quality.
• Manage inventory control processes to optimize raw material usage while minimizing holding costs and shortages.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams on process enhancements, capacity upgrades, and adoption of new technologies.
• Develop and maintain operational budgets, monitoring expenses and implementing cost control measures.
• Prepare and present regular production performance reports to senior management with actionable insights.
• Implement continuous improvement programs aimed at operational excellence and enhanced customer satisfaction.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth production workflows.
