Role Overview
ACE Money Transfer is seeking an experienced and driven Project Lead to own and manage the end-to-end delivery of high-impact projects within the Project Management Office (PMO). The ideal candidate is a confident decision-maker and communicator who takes full ownership of project outcomes — from initiation and stakeholder alignment through to UAT, closure, and post-project analysis. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in full alignment with business priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Initiation & Charter Documentation
- Lead end-to-end project delivery by owning the full project lifecycle from initiation through closure, ensuring all phases are executed in alignment with business objectives and PMO governance standards
- Define and maintain the Project Charter and supporting rationale documentation, clearly articulating project scope, objectives, justification, and expected outcomes for stakeholder sign-off
- Establish project governance structures at initiation, including roles and responsibilities, escalation paths, and communication protocols
- Conduct project kick-off sessions to align all stakeholders on objectives, timelines, deliverables, and ways of working
- Develop, manage, and continuously update the project timeline, identifying critical path dependencies, milestone targets, and delivery deadlines throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor progress against the plan on an ongoing basis, proactively identifying slippages and taking corrective action to keep delivery on track
- Manage project scope by assessing and documenting the impact of any change requests on timeline, resources, and business outcomes
- Maintain a live RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and drive resolution of blockers with urgency and accountability
- Plan, schedule, and lead all stakeholder meetings including project kick-offs, steering committee sessions, progress reviews, and escalation meetings
- Prepare structured meeting agendas, facilitate productive sessions, and ensure all outcomes, decisions, and actions are accurately documented and distributed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, maintaining clear, consistent, and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with business sponsors, technical teams, and cross-functional departments to ensure sustained project alignment
- Own the requirements completion process by assessing, tracking, and validating that all project requirements are fully delivered, accepted, and traceable to agreed business outcomes
- Drive stakeholder engagement and formal approvals by coordinating requirement sign-offs, change approvals, and stage-gate decisions with relevant business and technical stakeholders
- Conduct structured requirements review sessions to identify gaps, ambiguities, or scope changes and manage their resolution in a timely manner
- Maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) that is reviewed and updated at each major project milestone
- Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end UAT (User Acceptance Testing) process, including test planning, environment readiness, stakeholder participation scheduling, and defect management
- Work closely with QA teams and business stakeholders to ensure test cases are aligned with acceptance criteria and business requirements
- Track and manage UAT defects from identification through to resolution, escalating critical issues to the appropriate stakeholders with recommended actions
- Produce formal UAT completion reports and obtain documented sign-off from business stakeholders prior to deployment or go-live
- Produce and distribute comprehensive monthly project status reports covering progress against timeline, milestone achievement, risks, issues, budget status, and upcoming activities
- Ensure reports are tailored to the audience — detailed operational summaries for delivery teams and executive-level summaries for PMO leadership and business sponsors
- Maintain project dashboards and status trackers that provide real-time visibility of project health to all relevant stakeholders
- Uphold PMO governance standards by ensuring all reporting follows standardised templates, protocols, and submission timelines
- Lead the formal project closure process, ensuring all deliverables have been accepted, documentation is complete, and handover to operational teams is confirmed
- Conduct post-project analysis and produce structured closure reports covering delivery performance against baseline, lessons learned, and benefit realisation status
- Facilitate post-project retrospective sessions with key stakeholders and document actionable recommendations for future projects
- Maintain an organised and audit-ready project documentation repository covering the full project lifecycle, accessible to authorised personnel
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4–7 years of demonstrated experience managing projects end-to-end, including stakeholder management, formal approvals, and documentation
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches
- Proven experience producing Project Charters, project timelines, UAT documentation, and post-project reports
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project scheduling tools such as MS Project
- Familiarity with project tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Strong grip on project reporting and executive-level stakeholder communication
- Certification in project management — PMP, Prince2, or CAPM is strongly preferred
- Experience delivering projects within fintech, banking, or financial services environments
- Exposure to cross-functional or multi-workstream projects involving technology and business teams
- Experience managing distributed or offshore delivery teams
