QA Engineer / BI QA Engineer - PostEx

Our client PostEx is hiring a QA Engineer / BI QA Engineer in Lahore.

Position Overview:
The Analytics QA Engineer will be responsible for validating data across dashboards, reports, ETL pipelines, and analytical systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of operational and financial reporting, particularly around COD (Cash on Delivery) transactions, logistics operations, and business performance metrics.
The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL expertise, a keen eye for detail, and experience validating large datasets, business intelligence reports, and data transformation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Validation & Quality Assurance

• Validate dashboards, reports, and KPIs against source systems and databases.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability across all BI platforms.
• Perform detailed data reconciliation, particularly for COD financial transactions and operational reporting.
• Verify business metrics, calculations, and reporting logic before deployment.
  
  

ETL & Data Pipeline Testing

• Test ETL workflows, data transformations, and data migration processes.
• Validate data movement across multiple systems and warehouses.
• Conduct end-to-end testing of data pipelines and reporting layers.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies between source and destination datasets.
  
  

Data Lineage & Impact Analysis

• Perform data lineage validation to ensure traceability across systems.
• Conduct impact analysis for schema changes, reporting modifications, and new feature releases.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and BI teams to maintain data integrity.
  
  

Defect Analysis & Resolution

• Identify and report:[ul data=1]
• Data inconsistencies
• Duplicate records
• KPI calculation errors
• Missing or incomplete datasets
• Transformation and aggregation issues
  
  

Work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related defects.Test Planning & Automation

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation scenarios for data products.
• Execute manual and automated data quality checks.
• Support the implementation of automated data validation frameworks and monitoring mechanisms.
• Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures and validation results.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Data QA, BI QA, Analytics QA, ETL Testing, or Data Quality Engineering.
• Experience working with business intelligence systems, reporting platforms, and data warehouses.
• Prior experience within logistics, courier, fintech, or e-commerce industries will be highly preferred.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong SQL skills (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with data validation and reconciliation techniques.
• Experience testing dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
• Experience with BI platforms, preferably Apache Superset.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse data structures and querying concepts is preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Python knowledge is a plus for data validation and automation purposes.
• Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data pipelines.
