Role Snapshot:
The Quality Assurance Manager drives product quality across BATIK’s ladies eastern ready-to-wear production — from fabric inspection to final delivery. The role oversees QA across cutting, sewing, embroidery, finishing, and packing to ensure design standards, customer expectations, and brand benchmarks are consistently met.
The ideal candidate brings strong ladies wear construction knowledge, finishing expertise, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing QA team.
A Glimpse Into Your Regular Day:
· Develop and maintain QA policies, SOPs, quality standards, and control processes.
· Define and monitor quality parameters across fabric, embroidery, stitching, finishing, and packing.
· Ensure adherence to BATIK’s quality guidelines and customer expectations throughout production.
· Establish quality checkpoints, conduct floor audits, sampling, and inline inspections to control defects.
· Manage fabric inspection, approve materials, trims, accessories, and embroidery samples before production.
· Lead final garment inspections, ensuring measurements, finishing, packing, labels, and presentation standards.
· Provide quality clearance for production lots before dispatch.
· Lead, train, and develop QA teams while managing KPIs and performance.
· Analyse quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for improvement.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, reduce defects, and benchmark quality practices with industry standards.
· Prepare and present QA reports for management review.
What You Are Expected to Bring to the Table:
· Bachelor's degree and any other professional certification of garment technology will be an added advantage.
· 5-7 years of QA/QC experience in garment manufacturing, preferably ladies eastern or formal wear with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
· Hands-on experience with full production cycle QA — fabric, cutting, sewing, embroidery, finishing, and packing.
· Strong understanding of embroidery quality — thread count, colour fastness, placement accuracy.
· Familiarity with QA reporting tools, defect tracking systems, and production data analysis.
