The UIT University (UITU) invites applications for the position of Resident Engineer cum Project Manager. The incumbent shall have following qualification and experience:
Specific Skills
- Proficiency in using MS-Project / Primavera and MS Office software/applications.
- Must be a team player with strong leadership, communication, and supervision skills.
- Provide onsite supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance to the Project specifications, construction drawings and Building Control Act and Regulations;
- Oversee all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and submitting record of works, materials, equipment at site, attending meetings, keeping minutes of meetings and discussions, assisting in the co-ordination of Contractor's works with Consultants and any external parties like neighboring contractors and utility companies;
- Coordinate with engineering consultant and architect (EC&A) and to resolve all related issues effectively;
- Construction quality control;
- Review of contractor submittals (Drawings, materials and method statements);
- Reporting technical and regular progress;
- Review of payments;
- Review and implementation of construction documents (Drawings and specs);
- Architectural and engineering onsite decision capabilities;
- Contract management;
- Any other assigned duties and responsibilities from time to time.
