SAP Technical Architect - S/4HANA & BTP (RISE with SAP)

Job Purpose

The SAP Technical Lead is responsible for leading the technical architecture, development, integration, and performance of SAP S/4HANA and related platforms within National Foods Limited. This role ensures the stability, scalability, and optimization of the SAP landscape, drives the adoption of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and oversees integrations with enterprise and cloud applications. It includes managing RISE with SAP services and ensuring subscription/licensing compliance to optimize costs, align contracts, and govern usage. Operating within the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) and Shared Services Center (SSC) model, the role governs technical standards, accelerates innovation, and ensures alignment of SAP capabilities with business transformation objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead technical architecture, performance tuning, and extensibility for SAP S/4HANA (on-premise and/or cloud under RISE with SAP).
• Govern the use of SAP BTP for integrations, workflow automation, analytics, and extension development.
• Define and enforce SAP technical standards, naming conventions, and development guidelines.
  
  

RISE with SAP & Licensing Management

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for RISE with SAP services, ensuring alignment between contract deliverables and technical implementation.
• Monitor and manage SAP licensing and subscription usage across all modules and components to prevent overconsumption and ensure cost efficiency.
• Liaise with procurement, finance, and SAP account teams to optimize license allocation and negotiate renewals or expansions.
• Maintain compliance with licensing terms and ensure accurate reporting to SAP.
  
  

Development & Integration

• Oversee ABAP on HANA development, CDS Views, OData services, and Fiori/UI5 application enhancements.
• Design and manage integrations via SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), API Management, IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Event Mesh.
• Ensure smooth interoperability between SAP and non-SAP systems (e-commerce, CRM, logistics, IoT platforms).
  
  

Operations & Governance

• Manage BASIS operations: system monitoring, transports, security, patching, backups, and upgrade planning.
• Ensure compliance with IT security, data privacy, and audit standards.
• Maintain robust disaster recovery and high availability measures.
  
  

Innovation & Enablement

• Drive adoption of new SAP capabilities, including AI/ML, IoT, and advanced analytics within the BTP ecosystem.
• Support automation, DevOps for SAP, and CI/CD pipelines for faster and higher-quality delivery.
• Promote reusability, modularity, and API-led integration strategies.
  
  

CoE/SSC Engagement

• Act as the primary technical authority in the SAP CoE, collaborating with functional leads to deliver scalable, standardized solutions.
• Train and mentor internal technical resources to ensure knowledge transfer and capability building.
• Coordinate with offshore teams and vendors for project delivery and production support.
  
  

Preferred Qualification, Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8–10 years SAP technical experience, with a minimum 3 years on S/4HANA.
  
  

Proven Expertise In

• ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP
• SAP Fiori/UI5 development and launchpad administration
• SAP BTP Integration Suite, Workflow, and Analytics
• SAP CPI and API Management
• RISE with SAP implementation and subscription governance
• SAP licensing and contract management
• Experience with DevOps tools for SAP (e.g., CTS+, gCTS, automation testing).
