Senior Accountant – UK Accountancy Practice Experience
Location: Peshawar, Pakistan
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday

About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong UK-based accountancy practice experience to join our team in Peshawar.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience working in a UK-based accountancy practice and should be confident in handling UK accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, and client-facing responsibilities.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit annual statutory accounts for UK companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, Corporation Tax Returns (CT600), Partnership Tax Returns and Self-Assessment Tax Returns.
- Prepare and review annual and interim financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
- Review accounting records, reconciliations, working papers and tax computations for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct quality control and file reviews of work prepared by junior accountants.
- Provide training, coaching and mentoring to junior accountants and apprentices.
- Liaise directly with UK-based clients and provide professional accounting and taxation guidance.
- Provide guidance on UK tax compliance, tax planning and financial best practices.
- Identify technical issues and provide practical accounting and taxation solutions.
- Assist the Team Manager with workflow management, deadlines and overall team performance.
- Ensure all client work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Qualified accountant and/or member of a recognised professional accounting body such as ACCA, ICAEW or ICAP.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a UK-based accountancy practice.
- Strong practical knowledge of UK accounting and taxation.
- Good understanding of:
- UK Corporation Tax, Personal Tax / Self-Assessment, Partnership Tax, VAT, Capital Gains Tax, UK GAAP and IFRS
- Strong experience in preparing statutory accounts and tax returns.
- Hands-on experience with UK accounting and accounts production software, particularly:
- Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, Sage Accounts Production, IRIS, CCH
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with UK-based clients.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Professional attitude with a strong focus on quality and client service.
