The Division

Perseus Horizon Retail Solutions delivers innovative retail management and commerce solutions that help retailers streamline operations, improve customer experiences, and drive business growth. The division focuses on developing scalable, data-driven software platforms that support retail operations, inventory management, point-of-sale integrations, reporting, analytics, and omnichannel commerce experiences. Horizon combines modern technology with deep retail domain expertise to provide reliable and high-performance solutions to its customers.

The Position – Senior Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer with strong database expertise to join our development team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications and backend services that power our retail solutions platform.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across both frontend and backend development, coupled with deep knowledge of database design, optimization, and performance tuning. As a senior member of the team, you will collaborate closely with architects, product managers, QA engineers, and fellow developers to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using modern web technologies.
  • Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Design and optimize relational database schemas to support complex business requirements.
  • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database functions.
  • Analyze and resolve application and database performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Review code and provide technical mentorship to junior and intermediate developers.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and software development processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud-based infrastructure initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and database solutions.
  • Support application modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required

Technical Skillset

  • 7+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong frontend development experience with Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Database design and normalization
  • Query optimization and performance tuning
  • Stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views
  • Indexing strategies and execution plan analysis
  • Data migration and ETL processes
  • Experience with Entity Framework and ORM frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and design principles.
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with message queues and integration technologies.
  • Experience working with retail, e-commerce, or point-of-sale systems.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with monitoring and application performance management tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will also be considered.
